B Beyond has chosen to celebrate life in this issue: the best of art, food, wine, music and travel…
In a world where everyone is a publisher, a reviewer or a critic – courtesy of the internet – we report on the extraordinary: individuals, destinations, experiences.
The past year 2013 brought us so many natural and manmade disasters that many of us seem to have lost the ability to be outraged and, after some summary interest, we simply let the shock waves wash over us.
In the first quarter of 2014, we look at the things that make life worth living with renewed optimism and inexhaustible zest for discovering even more.
A few months ago B Beyond sought refuge from the poor weather in the South-West of France, a corner of the Mediterranean that has yet to catch up with its more famous Eastern neighbour, the Riviera, but is no less breath taking in different ways. We will be doing special features on it in the following editions.
In this one, we profile the indomitable Vanessa Branson, the founder of the Marrakech Biennale. We feature the Sohn Foundation courtesy of Manuel Stotz, co-founder, financier and philanthropist.
We examine the relationship between fine music and fine wines; we have our regular features on tax law (the Sovereign Group) and fine wines by Gerard Basset; we review the high season in Gstaad as well as some of the prime gourmet destinations in Italy.
We talk to Bianka Hellmich, a lawyer with a difference. We take a tongue-in-cheek look at a breed of men that’s close to extinction: the MISA
Our very popular Defy Age section carries contributions from some of the world’s leading experts, including professors Olshansky and Rohrich.
We also bring our readers some spectacular photography by Philip Volkers and Vincenzo Aiello.
Enjoy and have a great 2014!
